Starting Tomorrow!

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

Well, this is it I guess. Loans have been signed, tuition has been paid, I’ve got my parking pass and my textbook ($106!) and I’ve seen the building.

Deep breath.

I used to run the 400m dash in track. The worst part of that was, of course, the last 100m where it felt like I was running uphill through molasses in double gravity with legs made of soft floppy rubber dragging a steam locomotive behind me. But the other worst part was that brief period between “get set” and the gunshot. It was anticipation of the wind in my face and the fear of the last 100m. It just wanted to get started already!

Now I have a life, though, and before I can start classes I have my daughter’s band camp, football weigh-ins for two sons and two football games for those same sons, 10 loads of laundry to do, a lawn to mow, and a full day of work.

My adventure begins on Monday. I’d say the starter has said “runners to your marks”. Monday morning will be “get set”. I can hardly wait.

Technology Rocks!

This post is being created from a widget on my MacBook, using a cool widget called “WordPressDash”. It is supposed to let me just write away, anything I want, and post it without opening my browser.

Not like my browser ever closes, but, you know….

Anyway, if this works, I think it is really cool. You should buy a mac right away and install this nifty plugin. Yup. It rocks.
